Corporate Social Responsibility Activities
POCKET CARD contributes to society through its business and services, as well as pursuing a variety of measures in such fields as environmental conservation, human rights and employment conditions, compliance management, and modalities of corporate governance.
POCKET CARD will continue to maintain a long-term perspective and respond to the expectations of society and its stakeholders as it seeks to be a company able to realize sustainable growth.

Major Initiatives
Program for donating card points to charitable institutions
POCKET CARD has established a program that allows customers to exchange their accumulated points for donations to any of four organizations—Japan Committee for UNICEF; the National Land Afforestation Promotion Organization; the Ashinaga Scholarship Society; and the Japan Association for UNHCR.

Environmental initiatives
POCKET CARD has been participating in the Fun to share.
POCKET CARD promotes Cool Biz and Warm Biz campaigns, which encourage employees to come to work in seasonally appropriate attire to reduce the need for air conditioning. We also promote waste separation and recycling and green purchasing practices.

Credit cards made with dioxin-free PET-G material
POCKET CARD uses PET-G material, which does not generate dioxin even when incinerated, as the plastic for the itsumo affiliate cards, issued jointly with ITOCHU ENEX CO., LTD., which is active in the fields of the environment and CSR.

Human rights and employment conditions
POCKET CARD was awarded the Kurumin Mark by the head of the Tokyo Labor Bureau on June 18 2010 following authorization in 2007. The certification is based on the Next Generation Education and Support Promotion Act, and it was given in recognition of POCKET CARD’s active efforts to support balance between career and child-rearing, as well promotion of men’s participation in raising their children.
We also proactively hire people with disabilities, and strive to create an environment in which it is easy for them to work.
